Mike Phillips

Mike has been employed within the industry for over 25 years starting his employment with Hargreaves Quarries followed by RMC and latterly CEMEX. Over his time in the industry Mike has managed Asphalt plants, Concrete Units.

Mike then joined the Institute of Quarrying in January 2008 where he took on the role as General Manager and was also the site manager Hillhead – International Quarry Exhibition (2008-14) and held significant responsibility for the organisational team.

From 2016 to date, Mike set up a H&S consultancy, training and assessment business (MinExp LTD & MinTrain LTD).

He is also the current CEO of the British Aggregates Association which is one of the main Trade Associations working within the Mineral Processing and Mineral Extractives Sector covering a wide range of activities.
